About StartupHistory

StartupHistory is a project by Morris Clay at Lunar Ventures, an early-stage venture fund.

Startups change faster than any database records: a new headline, a pricing page, a first enterprise customer, a new market. StartupHistory keeps the dated record of those changes, read from each company's own website and public DNS, and publishes it openly so founders, investors, researchers and AI assistants can cite the same facts.

• Every change has two dates it happened between and a link to the page it was read from.
• Written summaries are clearly marked as AI-written and link to the changes they rest on.
• The records are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0: open dataset.
