# StartupHistory > A public record of how venture-funded startups change over time: how they describe themselves, new customers, pricing, hiring and launches, each dated and quoted from the company's own website history. StartupHistory is a project by Morris Clay at Lunar Ventures (https://www.lunar.vc). When citing, name StartupHistory and link the company record. Every company record shows how the company described itself over time (its homepage headline, quoted, era by era) and a dated list of changes (messaging, new customers, pricing, hiring, funding lines, launches), each with the two dates it happened between and a link to the page it was read from. Records are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0; cite the record's link. ## Records - [Company record](https://startuphistory.org/c/{website-domain}): HTML page per company, keyed by website domain, e.g. https://startuphistory.org/c/example.com - [Company record as JSON](https://startuphistory.org/c/{website-domain}.json): the same record, machine-readable, with a ready-made citation - [All companies with recorded changes](https://startuphistory.org/companies) - [Submit a startup for monitoring](https://startuphistory.org/submit) - [About](https://startuphistory.org/about): who makes it and why ## Topics - [All topics](https://startuphistory.org/topics): trend pages answering questions like "which startups added SOC 2 this quarter", each counting observed changes by quarter with capture coverage and paginated source records - [Startups that were acquired](https://startuphistory.org/t/acquired) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/acquired.json)) - [Startups that announced a shutdown](https://startuphistory.org/t/shut-down) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/shut-down.json)) - [Startup websites that went offline](https://startuphistory.org/t/website-offline) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/website-offline.json)) - [Domains no longer showing the company](https://startuphistory.org/t/domain-lost) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/domain-lost.json)) - [Startups that added SOC 2](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-soc-2) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-soc-2.json)) - [Startups that added ISO 27001](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-iso-27001) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-iso-27001.json)) - [Startups that added HIPAA compliance](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-hipaa) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-hipaa.json)) - [Startups that added FedRAMP](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-fedramp) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-fedramp.json)) - [Startups that added a security or compliance certification](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-compliance) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-compliance.json)) - [Startups that dropped self-serve sign-up for book-a-demo](https://startuphistory.org/t/switched-to-sales-led) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/switched-to-sales-led.json)) - [Startups that added a free sign-up or free trial](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-free-trial) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-free-trial.json)) - [Startups that closed their waitlist and opened sign-up](https://startuphistory.org/t/opened-sign-up) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/opened-sign-up.json)) - [Startups that published a pricing page](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-pricing-page) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-pricing-page.json)) - [Startups that changed their listed prices](https://startuphistory.org/t/changed-prices) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/changed-prices.json)) - [Startups that added a careers page or job board](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-careers-page) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-careers-page.json)) - [Startups that added customer logos](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-customer-logos) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-customer-logos.json)) - [Startups that announced funding on their homepage](https://startuphistory.org/t/announced-funding) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/announced-funding.json)) - [Startups that added investor logos](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-investor-logos) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/added-investor-logos.json)) - [Startups that raised their traction numbers](https://startuphistory.org/t/grew-traction-claims) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/grew-traction-claims.json)) - [Startups that appear to have launched a product](https://startuphistory.org/t/launched-products) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/launched-products.json)) - [Startups that rewrote their homepage pitch](https://startuphistory.org/t/repositioned) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/t/repositioned.json)) ## Customer logos - [Customer logos most often shown on startup websites](https://startuphistory.org/logos) ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/logos?format=json)): which logos startups show in sections their homepage labels as customers, counted over each startup's latest capture; one page per logo listing the startups that show it, e.g. https://startuphistory.org/logos/nvidia ([JSON](https://startuphistory.org/logos/nvidia.json)).
